About five years ago I started to get involved in the field of web analytics, and from that time I’ve seen the industry expand and then contract under a few heavyweights who now seem poised to dominate the industry. As web analytics constantly changes and innovates, incorporating mobile analytics, video analytics, etc. you’ll want to stay tuned in or risk counting ‘hits’ until the day your replacement walks in the door. As a consultant I started out working with Google Analytics, and have since expanded into Omniture Site Catalyst, Microsoft Analytics, and a few other tools.
